This weekend’s concert at Credit One Stadium with singer-songwriter Noah Kahan isn’t just about delivering an unforgettable performance; it’s also making a significant impact on mental health support in the Lowcountry.
The Busyhead Project, in collaboration with an anonymous donor, proudly presented Charleston-based Modern Minds with a $50,000 donation ahead of the sold-out Friday night concert at Credit One Stadium. This generous contribution will bolster Modern Minds’ pro bono services and enhance its sliding scale program, ensuring access to mental health resources for under-resourced residents in the community.
Dr. Lauren Carter, clinical director of Modern Minds, applauded the efforts of the Busyhead Project and Credit One Stadium for raising awareness about mental health and highlighting the available resources and tools in the Lowcountry.
“Credit One Stadium’s commitment to supporting mental health through initiatives like the Roper St. Francis Concert Series is commendable,” Carter said. “This generous donation from Noah Kahan and The Busyhead Project serves as a lifeline for individuals courageously seeking mental health support but facing financial barriers. It brings us closer to the goal of making mental health and wellness resources accessible to all.”
Noah Kahan, known for his personal journey with therapy, continues his mission to pay it forward by extending a helping hand to those in need of mental health support. The Busyhead Project, under Kahan’s leadership, aims to destigmatize mental health issues and provide vital support to local organizations like Modern Minds.
With this recent donation, Noah Kahan has raised an impressive total of $971,194 towards his ambitious goal of $1 million for mental health causes.
