Credit One Stadium is proud to announce that this year’s Palmetto Freedom Fest raised nearly $500,000 in support of Folds of Honor, an organization dedicated to providing scholarships to the families of America’s fallen and disabled service members and first responders. Held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, the event marked another successful year of partnership between Credit One Stadium and Folds of Honor, bringing the total funds raised by Credit One Stadium for the charity to almost $1.5 million over the past three years.
The evening was headlined by award-winning singer and songwriter Chris Janson, with a special performance by country music artist Tyler Rich, in a celebration set against a backdrop of American flags on the stadium’s grand lawn. Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, the founder of Folds of Honor, opened the event with a video address, followed by a moving tribute from Ginger Gilbert Ravella, who shared the story of her late husband, Major Troy Gilbert, a U.S. Air Force F-16 pilot who lost his life in service. Through both silent and live auctions, attendees contributed nearly half a million dollars to Folds of Honor.
Chris Meany, General Manager of Credit One Stadium, commented on the stadium’s ongoing support of Folds of Honor, saying, “Each year, we are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community and supporters. Through events like the Palmetto Freedom Fest, we not only honor the sacrifices of America’s heroes but also support their families in meaningful ways. We’re grateful to be part of an effort that has raised nearly $1.5 million for this important cause.”
The funds raised will help Folds of Honor continue its mission of awarding scholarships to the children and spouses of America’s fallen and disabled service members and first responders, helping ensure their futures are bright.
