When Nate Bargatze takes the stage at Credit One Stadium on Sept. 26, he’ll arrive in Charleston in the midst of a record-breaking run.
The comedian recently earned the Guinness World Record for the most tickets sold on a stand-up comedy tour, with more than 2 million tickets sold during his Big Dumb Eyes World Tour. The tour reached 129 venues around the world between April 2025 and August 2026.
The milestone is the latest in a significant year for Bargatze. In February, he won his first Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album for Your Friend, Nate Bargatze.
It’s a long way from the comedy clubs where the Nashville native began building a following with a style that has remained remarkably consistent as the rooms have grown larger: understated delivery, clean comedy and stories drawn from everyday life.
Bargatze’s stand-up specials include The Tennessee Kid, The Greatest Average American, Hello World and Your Friend, Nate Bargatze. He has also hosted Saturday Night Live multiple times and served as host of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. His first book, Big Dumb Eyes: Stories From a Simpler Mind, debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times Best Sellers list.
His Charleston performance is part of “Big Dumb Eyes Goes To College” and is set for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at Credit One Stadium.
The show also falls during a busy weekend on Daniel Island. TheLinkU Invitational will bring college sports programming to Charleston throughout the weekend, culminating Sunday with three college basketball games played outdoors at Credit One Stadium.
